The Vault
Our luggage storage locations are located in the city center of Amsterdam, on the prestigious Herengracht and Keizersgracht canals. The building is beautiful, and our luggage storage is unique, because in our Herengracht location, your suitcase will be stored in an old bank vault that was historically used by the ABN-AMRO bank. You definitely won’t find a safer place to store your luggage! The luggage storage is part of coworking space StartDock.
We are open ON WEEKDAYS from 09:00 until 17:00, and in consultation possibly longer. Payment is possible with cash, a normal bank card or credit card. If you would like to store your luggage over the weekend, please send us a message because we are always there to help you where possible.
What is luggage storage?
Luggage storage is a solution for tourists in Amsterdam that do not want to carry their baggage while exploring the city. Because our locations are located a stone’s throw away from all attractions in the center of Amsterdam, it is easy to drop off your luggage and enjoy any museum, bar or restaurant.

The Vault has two locations in Amsterdam:
- Herengracht 420 Amsterdam, on one of the most popular canals of our beautiful city Amsterdam.
- Keizersgracht 482 Amsterdam, a stone’s throw away from the Rijksmuseum and Leidse Square
Dropping your luggage is easy. You stop by one of our locations, drop your luggage and in 2 minutes you will be back on the streets of Amsterdam, in the heart of the city. Payment can be either made up front, or afterwards. If you are in a hurry, it is no problem for us if you pay afterwards.
We store your luggage in old bank vaults or closed off rooms, only staff are able to enter. You will receive a ticket when handing in our luggage. By handing us your ticket, you will receive back your luggage.
Pricing starts from €4,- per day. Your luggage will be stored in our beautiful and authentic locations. ON WEEKDAYS we are open from 09:00 until 17:00 and in consultation possibly longer.
